Introduction
In this blog you will find a short summary about the course Language
and Culture from Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia UNAD an elective course
from the Bachelor’s in English as a Foreign Language. This blog shows a personal
exposition of some activities its author was developing through a sixteen-week
period. The course is structured in two units.
The first unit: the relationship between language and
culture, it is dedicated to the understanding of the importance of both
elements into the learning of a foreign or second language. The second unit:
culture, language and education. Considers a breve exposition of the oral
traditions of an anglophone country like United States. This unit highlight the
importance of the oral traditions to people that are learning English as a
foreign or second language.
